Disabling Certain Comment Boxes
-
Been reading about this for a half hour. Can someone simplify for me? I understand that using the “free” version I don’t have access to plugins to manage this. But the only options I see in discussion settings is to either have ALL comments on or NO comments on. I would like to disable comments on my static pages, but not on any other posts. Is this easily done somehow? What am I missing? Still trying to convince the boss to pony up for wp.org.
Thank you!!

Yes. You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules
