Disabling Comments

  Is there a way to totally disable the comment feature?

  Dashboard -> Options -> Discussion -> uncheck Allow people to post comments on the article and click on Save Changes.

  The bad news though is that you’re going to go back through and manually set your previous posts to comments not allowed as the individual post settings override that blogwide setting. Dashboard -> manage -> Posts -> Edit each one and the settings is in teh Discussion tab along the right hand side.

  Ok. That’s fine. And after that is there any way to change that “comments off” on the blog? Can appear just nothing instead of it? (My english is not very good but I think you can understand me ;D)

  Nope, you’re stuck with the message, unless there is another theme that you can use that doesn’t do it.

  Actually you can remove it with the CSS upgrade normally. At least the “Comments are closed” bit on the individual Post pages. Please see this thread for an example.
