Hi,
my blog is at http://www.surferrosa.com.au. I want to disable comments on all posts and pages. I have followed the instructions in help and disabled/unchecked the Ping Back and Comments check backs for all posts and pages but when i go to the front end (after having first logged out of the backend) i can still see a Leave a Reply field. Can you please tell me what im not doing right?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I took a look at your site and I don’t see the comment field on your pages there. You may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache to see the change on your site.
If you’re still seeing the comment field, can you send a link to one of the pages where you see it? I can take a closer look there. :)

Hi Rachel
here’s a link to a post with a Leave a Reply field on it.
http://surferrosa.com.au/2014/05/14/australian-tourism-export-council-applaudes-federal-budget-on-tourism/#respond
I first had to click on the Speech Bubble/Talk Icon to the right of the post, but that then takes me to the page Ive sent you a link for.
cheers

Hi Russell,
Thanks for sending me that example. You can disable the comment field on all of your posts with these steps:
- Go to the Posts -> All Posts screen in your blog dashboard.
- Select the posts you would like to modify or check the box next to “Title” column at the top to select all posts on that page.
- Select Edit from the Bulk Actions drop down menu.
- Click the Apply button.
- Change the options for Comments and Pings to Do not allow.
- Click the Update button.
Please let me know how that goes for you!
- The topic ‘Disabling Comments’ is closed to new replies.
