Disabling comments?

  I want to disable comments. When I follow the ‘tutorial’ on it, however, I cannot find the ‘Advanced’ tab, which is where I’m supposed to be able to do this. Help please.

  I am not sure what tutorial you are using. Please look at these two articles for the procedure to do this on WordPress.com

  Thanks for your help. Yes, I’ve checked both out, and the first says that I should scroll to “Advanced.” But I don’t have any “Advanced” to scroll to. I tried the second and hopefully what it suggests there will work, but when I go to my site as a visitor, I still see the prompt to “Leave Comments.” Blah…

  Take a look at this article about bulk-editing posts: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit

  One of the options when you bulk-edit is to turn off comments.
