Disabling Comments
-
Is there a way to disable comments for a post, or all together for that matter? Looked and looked and cannot figure it out. If there is not a way, why isn’t it available?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ah thank you for the quick reply! That worked.
Had to go to Post/Screen options/ and check “Discussions” in order to see the box to uncheck “allow Discussions”.: )

Please help! I have followed all of the instructions to remove “leave a comment” on my pages. I was able to remove it from my blog but can’t seem to make the appropriate changes on my pages. I have the free service so I’m hoping this ability does not require me to upgrade.. Thanks in advance.

It’s the very same for Pages as it is for Posts. See here:

Then you didn’t follow all the instructions! For already published pages, you edit each page, uncheck “Allow Comments” as well as “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page” in the Discussion module, click Update.

Thanks for both suggestions. I made sure everything is unchecked for each page under the settings/discussion section. I even viewed the screen options section but no change. There is still a leave a reply box on each of the 3 pages. What am I missing? I’m too frustrated to be embarrassed

No, not Settings>Discussion (whatever you change there will apply to posts or pages created after the change.) Uncheck the options in the Discussion module of the page editor screen.
Or (faster) go to Pages > All Pages, hover under the title of each page, click Quick Edit, uncheck Allow comments, click Update. -
