disabling comments from pages

  the steps outlined to disable comments from pages is not correct, or i am doingin something wrong. there is no option under Disscusion to disable comments. Please advise.

  If you are wanting to delete the Discussion capability from pages, You can follow this guide for overall handling of comments (discussion).

  Or you can set it on each page or post as you edit it.

  If you don’t see this option, go up to the Screen Options choice on the top right of your editing screen and select the Discussion module soo it will show as you edit each post or page.
