Disabling Comments on Pages

  I am trying to disable the option to comment for all of my pages, but the Help Info about disabling comments states that to do this I need to uncheck the boxes about allowing comments and pingbacks when I edit my individual pages. However, these boxes do not exist when I edit my pages. The only options I get when I edit my pages are to show likes and sharing buttons, which still leaves the commenting options visible whether they’re checked or unchecked.
