Disabling customized theme that was added by error

    Hello!

    I’m super new to the WordPress, so my apology if I’m using inaccurate language.

    I customized a theme by mistake and now I can’t find a way to go back to the original set up. Is there a way to go back to the original “theme?” I believe that the original was self-built, and I don’t see it as one of the theme options. Any advice on how to retrieve the original look?
    Also, I don’t know if the website is backed up. Is there a way to check it?
    If I do a new back up, I’m guessing it would save the currently used theme and not the old one. Is it correct?
