Disabling Image Downloading/ Right Clicking
-
I am wondering about plugins for wordpress.com (not .org) to disable rightclicking/ image downloading. I’m moving into water-marking my imagery, but would like to further inhibit downloading of images. So, I’ve done a fair amount of searching and have found old forum topics regarding this, but nothing really new. In the wordpress configuration help I found :
“There are lots of plugins already bundled with every WordPress.com blog and website. They extend WordPress functionality and include things like Google Sitemaps, caching, Akismet anti-spam, Carousel slideshows, social media buttons, and over a hundred others.
Most WordPress.com users won’t find a Plugins tab in your dashboard. We include and configure the plugins for you, so you don’t need to worry about them”
Associated with the above information was a list of optional plugins, which did not really address what I wanted. So, two questions:
1. Is there a plugin on wordpress.com that can be enabled to disable right clicking/image download?
2. If there is, would I have to upgrade to allow get it?Thank you for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We users cannot add plugins on wordpress.com.
And disabling right clicking doesn’t prevent users from copying/downloading your images. -
Yeah, that’s the gist I got from reading, but wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss something. So, there are no upgrades on WordPress that allow user plugins?

There is no FTP access and we bloggers cannot install any plugins into WordPress.com blogs.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/If you use Duotone or Monotone themes right click is disabled. It’s not available on any other themes and will not become available as it creates a false sense of security. Anyone can find instructions on the internet and get around it in less than 20 seconds flat. What’s best is watermarking your images or not placing any images you don’t want stolen on the interment at all. This may help http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/19/watermark-your-blog-images/
FTP access, plugins and third party themes are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. if you require plugins you hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. http://wordpress.org/ Then you can move your content from the free hosted WordPress.com blog into the WordPress.org install. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

I’d like to recommend that you read this comparison so you are crystal clear on the differences between free hosted WordPress.com blogs and self hosted WordPress.org install > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
