Disabling Right Click
-
I had a question, I read some post in these forums that we cannot disable right click option on wordpress to protect our blogs from being copied. Today, I came across this post on http://randomthoughtsandthings.wordpress.com/2008/08/05/too-close-for-comfort/ where I cant use the right click feature on?
Any ideas? As even I would like to have the right click feature disabled on my blog.

Not sure what browser you are using, but I have no problems right-clicking and copying in FF3.

I am using IE and its not allowing me to copy text by right clicking. It does allow me to right click and shows some other options but not allowing me to copy.

Do the Cookie Dance; that always solves it for me.
Cookie Dance: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart.

Back in the days when I used to have and struggled with a website using Front Page, as a professional photographer, one of the very first things I wanted was disabling the right-clickability when people visit my site. I found out there are short and simple code that even a novice like me could easily include in HTML but there is one catch. The code works only in IE. Kinda pointless if you ask me considering the statistics and probability of someone browsing using Firefox or Safari or … and if the viewer’s intent is to copy your page .. there’s plenty of (free) screen capture tool download to do that very easily.
