Disabling visual editing in new editor

  Is there a way to disable the visual editor and go straight to the HTML editor in the new interface? I never use the visual editor because I prefer to work with the code.

  “I am aware of how to switch, but unless I’m doing something wrong, it always goes back to the visual editor when I go to edit something again. Plus, switching to text mode after displaying in the visual editor tends to strip tags.”
  I was going to say that, but I tried it again just now and it went straight to the text editor. I don’t know why, but I guess it works now.
