Disappeared page

  One of the pages on my free wordpress.com has vanished from my menu, and from the back end. It was there last week but now there’s no trace of it. What do you think has happened. Please advise urgently.

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble!

  First, try deactivating all the plugins on your site and see if you are able to view your page. If not, try changing your theme to a default one (such as Twenty Fifteen) and see if you can see the page there. This will rule out if the issue with with your theme or any plugin.

  Hi Koulovat

  Thank you for your response to my problem.

  I thought I’d do an omnisearch on my site to try to find the missing content before following your suggestions and discovered that media I’d uploaded to my missing page when it was created months ago are now linked to a page I created on 27 July, but are not showing on that page.

  This is about when I noticed the older page was missing. So could this mean that I did something really stupid when I created the new page and accidentally replaced the old page? If so, what, and how do I fix it?

  I absolutely don’t understand this and would be very grateful if you could explain what might have happened. If not, then I’ll try deactivating the plugins and change my theme as you suggest.

  Why are you assuming that the site is a Business upgraded site that the blogger can install plugins on?

  Hi there,

  It looks like that page was deleted from your site in February. It doesn’t look like any cached copies of that page still exists online, so I’m afraid it’s gone.
