Disappearing Blog Followers

All my blog followers “disappeared” and I suddenly have no followers — I had a couple hundred blog followers and individual followers. What could have happened?

Did you perhaps mean http://www.annegallagher.com/ ?

I had several hundred subscribers. Now 0

If you’re viewing your blog follower totals, it includes the 387 followers from Facebook and 76 followers from Twitter, but there’s no history of direct followers on your blog.

Also, we did transfer your followers during your guided transfer to http://www.annegallagher.com/ a few years ago.

Yes this is the exact problem. There were a number of blog followers AND about 150 direct followers. how could they be erased? These were on the Anne on Fire blog, not annegallagher.com.

Sunday and Monday…. I sent a blog post out Sunday. I got comments and good traffic from my followers…now gone.

Are you absolutely sure that you weren’t just referring to your 387 followers from Facebook and 76 followers from Twitter (which combine to a total of 463)? These are still actively following your blog.

Hi Anne,

We’ve found the culprit and we are investigating a fix as I type this.

In the meantime, out of curiosity and if you don’t mind me asking, why are you actively running the two sites ( http://annegallagher8.wordpress.com/ and http://www.annegallagher.com/ )? Did the new http://www.annegallagher.com/ site not meet your expectations?

Bless you if you can fix this!

I have 2 different sites for 2 different purposes. One is purely a blog (Anne on Fire). The other is my acting/talent site. I don’t necessarily want people who go to annegallagher.com to read or follow the blog, and that is why I created 2 different sites.
