Disappearing Code

  When I type in HTML in WordPress, it disappears. Always. The forums recommend downloading plug ins. Isn’t that dangerous? HTML is simple. Why does WordPress make this so complicated?

  WordPress.com support partial html tags. Codes such as embed, frame, iframe, form, input, object, textarea and others are not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons.

  WordPressdotcom site owners cannot install 3rd party plugins, so I’m not entirely certain which forums you mean. Certainly not here.

  As elte said, if the code is stripped out, then it contains something that isn’t allowed here. However, what is it you are trying to do? Maybe we can suggest a workaround.
