disappearing comments

  I had a bunch of comments on yesterday’s blog post. They are visible on my admin page (all my comments are approved automatically), but no longer visible on the blog itself. Please help! I need those comments back where people can see them!

  I’m assuming that the comments are listed in approved section of the admin page. If that’s the case, can you do the following?

  1. Go To: Admin Page / Comments / Select one of the missing comments
  2. View the Comment History

  Does the Comment History section show anything other than the comment being approved? Can you post the history here?

  Hi there, dukea2006. Here’s what History says:
  Akismet cleared this comment.

  I looked it up and it says Akismet is a spam filter. That’s fine. But I see no way to unclear or restore the comments. For the time being, I’ve copied and pasted the comments back into the post so people who entered my giveaway aren’t all like, “Where’d my comment go?!”
