Disappearing Images

I’ve been adding photos to my blog almost daily for about three months now. Everything seems to upload fine. But every once in a while, when I go back through posts/photos from maybe a month ago I will find a few that have just disappeared. In its place is a block with a ? in it. The image is still in the gallery, it just does show on the blog. I found at least three like that today. The only way I have found that I can get the image to “reappear” is to delete the image from the gallery and re-upload it from my computer.
Format is classic.
Any explanation?

Possible explanation is you’re using generic names that end with a number. When you reupload an image with the same name, it gets an extra number to distinguish it (Nicepic.jpg reuploaded will become Nicepic1.jpg, next time it will become Nicepic2.jpg, etc. – even if you delete the previous version before reuploading). So if you use similar names that end with a number, you’re guaranteed to mess things up, for instance confuse a real Pic31 with a twin of a previously uploaded Pic3.

Go to my blog and check entries for 2/14, 2/13, 2/9 and 1/13. All four are missing the images while text and tags are intact. All other dated entries are fine.

I went clear back through all your posts, clear back to your first post, and I see no missing images at all.
Log out, clear your browser cache, restart your browser and then try again on those pages where you saw missing images.

You’re the man! That did it. Logged out, cleared the cache, logged back in and voila, everything is fine. Thanks.

You’re welcome. Browser caching seem to be an issue lately for some browsers and I’m not sure what the issue is really. Another mystery of the interweb that will likely never be answered.
