disappearing linked words

I’m helping a friend set up a site, so we both have access to it with a password. I’m trying to set up an internal link from one page to another (from “Book” to “Excerpt”), but the words that are linked don’t show up at all when I view the page.
It’s not a browser problem and I think I’ve set it up correctly, because I went to my own site and did the same w/o a problem. My friend is inexperienced and I wonder if there’s something she could have checked or done with the settings to create this problem.

No, it’s not a browser problem. The problem is that you’ve set white as the link color, so the links are invisible. Go to Appearance > Theme Options and set a reasonable link color.
