Disappearing <p> tags
-
Every time I edit a post, all my p tags separating the paragraphs disappear and I end up with one long run on paragraph in the post. I can put the p tags back in and then everything looks fine, but it gets a bit old having to re-add p tags every time I try to fix something else in a post.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

hello crackerbob!
nice to meet you! :Di think this post will help!
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=17495&page&replies=9if you don’t mind my saying it, it is better to search the forum before posting a problem, cos many of the problems are already faced by users, and ready-made solutions are waiting for you to click! :D

Thanks sanjidabd!
I had tried to find this issue in the forums, but I guess I didn’t phrase it quite right in the search.
Thanks again for your help.

crackerbob, press Enter twice to start a new paragraph.
wordpress.com users are not supposed to enter any tags into their posts because
“we don’t want people to have to look at HTML and CSS code, which is antithetical to the purpose of WordPress.com”

pressing enter doesn’t always work, i am afraid. it seems like there’s more space this way, but only as long as you are in admin mode. when you are actually viewing the post, it doesn’t show up! at least not on my freshy theme.

i thought it’s better to clarify something here.
pressing enter “twice” does work in freshy too. but pressing it “more than twice” doesn’t help, like, if i need extra, extra breathing space! :Dactually in freshy pressing enter once does it. not twice. pressing enter usually puts stuff in the next line without a gap. like this
text text after enter pressed once in usual placesbut for freshy it’s like this
text text entered after enter is pressed onceso to make text appear without gap, i go to the code mode and write stuff there! :D
thank god my special needs don’t arise too often!
