disappearing photos

I am finding a lot of my pics are becoming question marks on the post. When I upload them again onto the post, they show on the preview but not on the post. WHAT is HAPPENING???

Have you exhausted your free media upload space allocation?

Are the missing images ones you have deleted from your media library?
Images you upload into your media library and embed into posts and pages are on wordpress.COM servers. They remain visible unless or until you delete them from your media library. Doing that removes them from every place you embedded them in the blog and leaves behind broken links.
Images you link to on other sites are not on wordpress.com servers, and can disappear if they are removed at the source from the servers they are on.
Are the missing images ones you hotlinked to on other sites?

Yes, I remember the lesson you taught me years ago about the fact of deleting pics. I did venture out on my own for a bit, hated it and came back. I realized that even though I moved these particular posts to my wordpress blog how the support team taught me, it was these photos that disappeared. I have re posted them so nevermind after all. BUT! I sent a second question you can prob answer. I find that how I draft my post doesn’t translate to the actual post. The layout – words AND pics do not show how I set them up. what do you think my problem is?

Hi @sandyjonas, I’m guessing if you moved out and came back the photos somehow didn’t come back with you. Let me know if you need more help with that.
RE: the draft not looking like the post, are you using the preview in the newer editor? It should let you preview your post on a tablet, phone, and desktop device (assuming you’re on a desktop device so you can reasonably test all three.)
If that isn’t working as expected, would you send a screenshot of what you see? This article explains how:
