Disappearing posts

Since I added my last post yesterday (“Mania and grounding food”) my last five posts (8/3-8/6) have disappeared from the blog. They still show up in my dashboard as published on those days, but I don’t see them on the blog. I tried closing it and re-opening it, but that didn’t help.
This disappearance is simultaneous with the disappearance (posted here last night) of my entire right hand column, with all my widgets.
Will changing my theme help? What do I do? My plan was to announce this blog broadly today – and there are other constraints that make this highly desirable. But maybe I will need to let go of this agenda – and you know what, it won’t be the end of the world.
