If your blog is judithgunn.wordpress.com …
Your new theme is Coraline. See the Important notices at the top of this forum for fix the bugs in switching.
If you want to know the reasons of this change you can see the WordPress.com blog and/or Matt’s blog, both linked at the bottom of this page -
The Cutline theme has been converted to the Coraline theme. There have been some cases where widgets are missing from the sidebar. You can find them in the in the “Inactive” area of the Appearance -> Widgets pages and move them to the widget area of your choice.
You can find more information about the new Coraline theme here:

@judithgunn
We cannot see your blog and you have not provided the link starting with http://
The only theme that has changed is Cutline. It has been removed and replaced with Coraline http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/new-theme-coraline/There is a sticky post at the top of the forum for those who used to have Cutline and who now have Coraline as their theme. Please see here > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cutline-to-coraline-faqs?replies=49
Your widgets will be found in the “Inactive Widgets” box here > Appearance > Widgets.
If you had the Cutline theme and the CSS upgrade, then please also see this sticky post > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/use-custom-css-and-cutline-please-test-your-site?replies=64
