disappearing widgets

  I want to add some widgets, eg Follow Me but every time I do so the widgets that were there before (which I imagine are there by default like Pages, Categories etc) all disappear! The theme is ‘Neat’.
  What am I doing wrong?

  The default widgets are displayed when no widgets exist in the sidebar.

  As you’ve noticed, adding any widget to the sidebar removes the default ones. But fear not, you can simply add those as well together with the new widgets.

  ahhh! thanks so much!! I just wonder why it doesn’t say that on the widgets page – or perhaps it does somewhere
