Disappearing widgets

I’ve got widget problem on any template I’ve tried, even one column Day Dream: http://europejka.wordpress.com

Hi all. Same thing as everyone else is reporting.
The widgets certainly are broken at the moment – either missing, reset to default layout or appearing in the wrong columns etc etc etc. When I noticed mine were gone I went into the widgets section and it looked like it did when I started (panic!). I checked inside the options for each widget and found it HAD remembered them though, so I just dragged them back to where they should have been. However, this has not fixed it as the page still has them showing up in the wrong places.
It is almost certainly something that WordPress will need to fix in the code that drives the page. Seems they are closed for the weekend, but hopefully they will get it sorted in a matter of hours, not days. I have left mine setup as it was and I’m hoping they will just reappear.
In the meantime, if anyone is worried about their customization work, I would suggest opening the options for each widget and copy and pasting out the text and settings from within them to somewhere else (save them using notepad or similar) or take some screen shots so that, worst case, you have to re-add the widgets in the correct order, but not re-type any content, links etc. This is what I have done and that means, worst case, some cut and pasting and re-arranging once the actual problem has been solved.
I wouldn’t try to fix them yourself in the meantime. You’d be better off leaving them as they are.

Just to confirm that my widgets were also reset to default and re-saving them has not made any difference, with theme andreas09. Not happy, but I’m sure they’ll fix it soon.

Thank you Jonathan, I´m from Sweden and I´m using Andreas Lay out and my widgets are gone to.

I’ve lost my widgets too. The code is still in the widget boxes, but they won’t appear on my site when I try to put them back. I use the Garland theme. I spent a lot of time putting them there, and now they’re gone! And the only “support” I get is a message saying “sorry, we’re closed”!! SORRY, WordPress, this isn’t good enough!!

As jonathan suggested, changing your widgets right now is probably a bad idea. Leave them as they are so that when the functionality is restored they’re just as they were. Once the sidebar issue is fixed you can tweak away. Mark is on it, as he said. If the Feedback button is still off, it’s not that he’s not working on it; it’s that he already knows it’s an issue.
Disembedded, I was born in France. And I have an Irish temper.

OK, I’m relieved to find that everyone else is having this problem.
Looks like something’s gone wrong. I have confidence in the WordPress crew to fix it…
