Disaster in the Making

    Hello;
    I’ve had the idea to make a blog for my writing partner and give it to him for his birthday. Alas, I told him, “…and if you go on ‘settings,’ you can change the look of it using a lot of templates.” Apparently this wasn’t enough, because he tried to change the DOMAIN NAME of the website, and now the blog page looks like crap, neither he nor I can access to the administrator page, and any button we click sends us to ANOTHER website altogether.
    Any idea on how to “reset” this disaster he created?
    Thanks!!

    We cannot even begin to assist anyone who does not provide the URL starting with http:// for the site they refer to. Please do that now.

    That’s a WordPress.ORG software install. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate, have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names.

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
