Disconnect

In an attempt to accept my daughter’s invitation to my grandson’s blog, I managed to create my own account. I would like to disconnect, unsubscribe, ???? from WordPress.
How does that happen? What do you need from me?
Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Is your grandson’s blog public or private? If it’s private you must have an account or you won’t be able to read it.
In any event, WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted. This is for security reasons so others cannot claim your username and impersonate you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
The only details you were required to provide when signing up for your account was an email address. WordPress.com will never send you spam to that email address and also won’t sell it to third parties, as clearly stated in their privacy policy. You can disable all email notifications from your account settings:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/If you change that email to a throwaway address there will be no way your account could ever be linked to you. Any other details that you added yourself, you also have the power to delete yourself. See timethief’s instructions in this post on how to do that: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/06/02/deleting-accounts-blogs-and-content/
If you used your real name as your username you can change that to a random username that cannot be connected to you. The existing username will then cease to exist and won’t be available for anyone, including you, to ever use again: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

Thanks or the prompt response. It is the information I needed to resolve my problem.
Now that I have the potential for a blog, I guess I should start working on something to say. -
