So I have a client whos website I have setup. They wanted to try Woopayments but upon setup it automatically linked to my wordpress.com login. No biggy I thought ill disconnect it and then do it again making sure I’m with the client on their own wordpress.com login.

Apparently not. there are no options to ever now disconnect this site from wordpress.com

    I have tried

    • Looking for any option to do this in wordpress.com
    • Anyway to do this via the plugin
    • Deleting the plugin
    • Asking AI support (which is TERRIBLE)

I asked Claude and where it thinks a disconnect/delete option should be there is not.

How on earth do I get around this?

    Hi there,

We had tried reaching out earlier today but perhaps had sent a reply to an email address you aren’t monitoring.

Either way, I wanted to be sure to paste that reply here in the forums as well. Here is what was sent earlier.

In some cases, WooPayments can be reset directly from the dashboard. Would you mind confirming whether you see a Reset option as outlined in this guide?

If that option isn’t available on your site, no worries; that usually means the connection can’t be removed through the UI anymore. In that case, we’ll need to help with the disconnection manually on our end.

To accomplish that, please share your site’s System Status Report. This will help us locate the correct WooPayments account and confirm how it’s currently linked.
You can generate it by following these steps:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status in your site’s admin.
    2. Click Get system report.
    3. Select Download for support.
    4. Attach the downloaded file in your next reply.

Once we have that, we can help with the disconnection so your client can set up WooPayments themselves on the site. Thank you!
