Disconnect domain from WordPress.com

    Hello- I had previously associated a domain with a wordpress.com site and have since deleted that site and created a new WordPress.org site on BlueHost using the same domain. When I try and access the new site, I am sometimes sent to the old site (which should be deleted) and sometimes I receive an error. I’m not sure how to handle this.

    Hi there!

    I’m showing you had a site here but deleted it a few days ago.

    What likely happened is that the domain nameserver changes from WordPress.com to Bluehost hadn’t finished propagating when you were checking your site. Those changes typically take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours to fully complete.

    Looking at your site’s current nameservers, they’re all pointing to Bluehost now.

    You should be all set! If you still have trouble, reach out to Bluehost support for assistance.
