Disconnected facebook from blog – still posting there!

  I stopped using WordPress to directly share posts on Facebook a while back and would edit each post to remove the sharing links on a one time basis (thinking I might use them in the future). I noticed that my posts were still be automatically shared on facebook.

  I thought maybe I forgot sometimes to edit them off, so I decided to disconnect facebook from my WordPress blog to ensure I never forgot again, and the next blog I shared was still automatically shared on facebook. How can this be? How can I stop wordpress automatically sharing my posts on my facebook page when disconnecting facebook from the blog’s sharing options has not done the trick?

  Hi moraghughson,

  Your user account is an Editor on mqgem.wordpress.com, which means it does not have the privileges needed to manage social connections:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#editor

  The Facebook connection was created by an Administrator (mqgem) so the change will need to made through their account.
