Disconnected website

I’ve been using Bluehost and WordPress for my website for a few years now. This week I noticed my site was down and while investigating different troubleshooting options, one recommended I disconnect my website from WordPress and then reconnect. After doing this it would not let me reconnect and now forces me to pay a monthly fee I have not paid in the past. I don’t understand why this is now my only option.
I’ve also noticed many other users mentioning that Blue Host has been down lately, and I’m not understanding why it is also asking me to pay an additional monthly amount when I just recently renewed my domain.

Do you maybe mean they recommended you disconnect and reconnect Jetpack?
After doing this it would not let me reconnect
Can you share the error you get when you try to connect, and also share what it’s trying to have you purchase? Let us know what the monthly fee is, and what it says that’s for.
