Disconnecting WordPress.org from WordPress.com

  • Unknown's avatar

I have had ongoing issues with my two sites from the get go and enlisted help to just wipe my sites and start again. Now I am having an issue because Jetpack is requesting that I connect to wordpress.com, but wordpress.com already has both sites listed as connected so when I attempt to use the Jetpack plugin on wordpress.org, it comes up with a error. I have tried troubleshooting and read through forums but haven’t had any luck resolving the issue.
I was thinking the easiest would be to disconnect my accounts (penelopelovespictures.com & penelopeloves.net) and then I can go back in and connect them properly.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks,
    Penelope

I suggest looking for an answer to your question here first. http://jetpack.me/support/ If you do not find one then the Jetpack forum is at WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post there.

Thanks for the response, but as mentioned I have read through the forums, this includes forums & FAQ’s on the Jetpack site, WordPress.org site & Worpress.com site. I have established that the fault isn’t with the installation of Jetpack as I tried ALL the troubleshooting tips I could find. It wasn’t until I logged into my Worpress.com account that I realised both by wordpress.org sites are still connected there, but when I log into the .org dashboards neither of them recognise any connection. I believe this is because I had someone wipe both sites so I could start from scratch and when I reinstalled wordpress it obviously wasn’t pre-connected. That is why I would like to know how I can disconnect them from my wordpress.com account and start again.

    Hi!

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!
