discount upgrade to Premium

  We would like to upgrade our website to Premium, but only my colleague gets a discount with his account and I do not get a discount with my account. We are both admin of the website experiencingarchitecture.com. Could I also get this discount? Because I want to pay directly for the upgrade. Thank you in advance!

  If your colleague shows a discount for Premium, it most likely means that they were the one that bought the domain/mapping upgrade. I believe they will have to transfer the upgrade to you. However, I’ve tagged this for Staff attention to clarify and help with the process.

  Hi there,

  Only the user who owns the Personal Plan can upgrade that plan to Premium, so if you need to take over payment your colleague will need to post here and authorise me to transfer the Personal Plan to you as @justjennifer suggested. Once you own the upgrade you’ll be able to change it to Premium.

  I’m his colleague and I’d like Paul to take over the payment. How can I authorise you to transfer the Personal Plan to Paul?

  Hi Simon,

  It appears I made a small error with my last reply. You don’t have a personal plan on that site, but rather a custom domain upgrade. Posting here as your account is sufficient to allow me to transfer the upgrade, but as this will mean that you’re no longer the owner of the domain, experiencingarchitecture.com, I need you to please explicitly confirm that you want me to transfer it.

  Once I complete the transfer, the username paulwdevries will be the domain’s owner, and your account won’t be able to make any changes to the domain any more.

  Please make sure that you update the domain owner contact information as soon as possible. You can do that via My Site ->Domains where you will now have the option to make changes to that domain.
