can your DISCOVER team please ad a word or two into the subject line?
I want to sort out the bumph from what I think might be for me. This inane “Wanderlust” for instance, really goes onto my nerves.

  • @niemolens I’m not sure I understand. Do you mean for the topics?

Thanks for your prompt reply. I would like to see in the subject line not just ” Daily Digest for Discovery….” but also a hint to what the subject of the post will be,
e.g. ” Thyme roasted Peach…” This does not have to be the full heading of the post.

If that’s possible, I think it would be an improvement. Best regards, Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

Daily Digest emails don’t include details regarding any specific post in the subject line, on any site on WordPress.com. That’s because that email contains a digest of all posts published during the past 24 hours, and even if there was only one post it still uses the default digest subject line.

If you switch your subscription option for the site to deliver new post notifications immediately, rather than only once a day, the subject lines should reflect the title of the actual post. Then you can sort them directly in your inbox, and maybe even set up an email filter to auto-delete emails for posts containing key words you’re not interested in.

Thanks a lot, but where can I switch my subscription? I’m not best of Internetters,

    Thomas

  • Hi there,

You do it by going to your Followed Sites page (https://wordpress.com/following/manage) and clicking on the Settings next to each subscription.
