Discussion Settings – Disallowed Comments

    When my client opens the above address and goes to Discussion Settings, there are some Disallowed Comments. There is listed the words ‘Very Old Blog1’ numbered through to ‘Very Old Blog8’. He does not remember putting these in or why they are there. I have explained the purpose of Disallowed Comments.

    He wants to know why these entries are there, firstly.

    He also wants to know if he is allowed to delete these. So, if we delete these, will this mess up any of the blog posts, or other people’s comments that have been sent to him. Basically, will deleting these entries (‘Very Old Blog 1-8’) alter, delete, remove, or otherwise mess up the saved content on the blog?

    Hi there,

    I’m not sure I understand your question… you mention “above address” but I don’t see any URLs included in your question.

    To clarify, this is not an issue with aallanbiss.wordpress.com but instead an issue with some other site, yes?

    I did include the URL I wanted in the original form. I now don’t have it to hand as it with my client’s site. The site is https://lastdayswatchmanblog.wordpress.com

    The particular issue is with the Disallowed Comments section, within Communication Settings aspect of the site.

    Most likely, they put them there by accident. Or those were blog addresses that got deleted and were replaced with that text. But that’s something I’ll have to check with our developers to be absolutely sure.

    Yes, they can delete them. Existing comments will not be affected.
