Disparity between visits and likes

  For the last two days I’ve been getting lots of messages telling me people have liked posts; yesterday was supposedly my most liked day of posting ever, and yet the stats for visits to the site show nothing like the same numbers. Total visits to all my postings today show as only 60% of the number of likes on a single post.

  Am I missing something obvious?

  Hi there,

  It’s possible for someone who sees your posts in the Reader to like your posts without visiting your site. In that case, liking the post doesn’t count as a visit.

  Thanks Rachel, though its a pity that there isn’t a way to get an accurate view of the reach of a blog
