Display Categories
-
I have read all of the support documents you have for “display categories” but unfortunately nothing helped. If you will look on the “display categories” support forum, you will see the last piece of advice given is “post a link of your blog to see it” but doesn’t actually give advice on how to solve the problem.
Anyway, my categories were displayed, but then when I added another page to my blog, the categories disappeared. I checked my widgets and do have the category widget dropped in the drop down that says “sidebar” and clicked on the button that says visibility. Everything seems to be set up fine. Also, when I look in my dashboard it says I have two categories listed. I just don’t understand why the categories won’t display on my actual blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I wanted to add that I have deleted the widget and added a new categories widget, but my categories are still not displayed. I went back to my categories to delete them and re-write them, but that hasn’t worked either.

Is my site broke? Should I just delete it and start over again? I have been working on this for hours. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As an update, I have added new categories, but none of my categories are displaying on my blog. Also, is the only way to get help on this site, is if another member is nice enough to answer your questions? Is there any real support on this site?

Categories widgets and dynamic Categories pages have no data that can be displayed until you publish a post that has been assigned to the category.

Hopefully you are clear on the fact that Categories are not static Pages. Static pages you create automatically appear in the horizontal menu bar but will not automatically update.
Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags too will update automatically update with new posts.
Dynamic Categories pages will not appear in the horizontal menu bar unless you create a custom menu and add the Categories pages to it.

Again, you have saved the day timethief. That was my issue, I didn’t have any posts labeled with that category. (I was just in the process of setting the pages up, but didn’t have the content yet.) Thank you very very much!!
