display first paragraph only

  I would like to change how posts are displayed, instead of full text enable only first paragraph with “read more”. Is that possible on my site?
  I tried under “settings – reading” to change “for each article show summary vs full text” but it didn’t make a difference. I also tried in the post itself to change the format from “standard” to other options, didn’t seem to make a difference.
  Please advise. my site is niritcohen.com

  That setting is for your RSS feed, not for the individual posts.

  What you are looking for is the “more” tag:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
