Display issue

    Hello,
One of my articles seems to bug the display.

    https://umbrellacorporationfrance.wordpress.com/category/base-de-donnees/
In fact, on this category archive, the end displays several times ‘read more’ and none of the widgets only appear. On these other category archives :
    https://umbrellacorporationfrance.wordpress.com/category/base-de-donnees/documents/
    https://umbrellacorporationfrance.wordpress.com/category/actualites/
Everything seems to be displayed correctly.
And I don’t know if that’s some setting in the article or something.

    Thank you in advance.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there!

It seems to me that it’s something related to your theme. Twenty Fourteen is already 8 years old and can cause issues with modern browsers.
If you’re willing to change your theme, it would be my first recommendation. If you’d rather keep Twenty Fourteen, we can dig a little deeper, but if it’s a theme bug, I can’t guarantee it will get fixed.

Hello, and thank you for your prompt feedback.

I actually understood that the theme was quite old, and I saw that certains problems (like the width which does not fill the page on certain screen resolutions) can be corrected by touching the sql. Which I will try my hand at when I have buy a plan.

I’m not against changing the theme, but this one is the one that best met my needs (fixed head, widget column on the left and right, simple header bar …)

If you have other terms corresponding to these elements, I would like to try, but I admit that Twenty Fourteen really corresponded to my expectations.

Also, if you could dig into the problem a bit, I would appreciate it very much.

You can modify some things with custom CSS which is available on plans Premium and above. If you’re thinking of more substantial changes, you will need to consider plan Business that allows you to upload any WordPress-compatible theme. That means you can both create your own child theme, or upload one you like from elsewhere, like WordPress.org/themes.

Ah, I see. It will be tricky to find a newer theme with a feature like the double sidebar. But maybe some of these could work for you?
    https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/right-sidebar/.

Note that if you click on More Info and them Live Demo, you’ll see an option to Try&Customize where you can check how the theme looks like with your content.

Meanwhile, I’ll try to reproduce the error you’re seeing on your site and see if there’s anything that can be done to fix it.

Thank you very much for that.
While waiting for your return, I will take a look at these themes that you suggest to me

    IT’S GOOD !

I found the problem. This was an error in the layout of the article (the block “read more” was in a column ^^)

Thanks again for your time and sorry for bothering you for nothing.

Ah, nice catch. That’s why I wasn’t able to reproduce it :)

Well, I’m glad to hear it was not the theme after all!
