Display name of my blog

  Hello,

  I have created a blog for my upcoming world trip. At the time of creating it I had chosen a name for it which I was told could be changed at any time. However only the title can be changed. The display name under which the blog is displayed under “My blogs” in the dashboard cannot be changed. Is it possible to have that title changed as well?

  The Site title (blog name) and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General
  “save changes”. That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. Note that the site title (blog name) and blog address URL do not have to be the same but it’s better SEO (search engine optimization) if they are.

  It often takes the My Blogs page data a couple of days to update. I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  Just to clarify, are you talking about the Blog Name or the Address?

  Hi, thanks for the quick answers. I am fine with the URL. It is just annoying, that the blog is displayed with a different name than its actual title in the “My blogs” section. But I will give it some more time to update as time thief said it could take some time übrig it is updated.

  @dereisvogel-

  Hi there,

  Did you change it to “Abi and Weg!”? After looking into your account, I found that that’s what it is currently stating. If that’s not what you see, can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?

  As @timethief stated it may take a couple days to update. Let me know if that’s not the case in a couple days!

  Hi gracejiyoung,

  thank you for your responce. In deed, that is my title. Now that is what is displayed in the “My blogs” section. I was just confused that it did not update immediatelly. I even waited for more than 30 minutes without any changes, which is why I started looking for an answer on Google. But I didn’t find anything there, so I asked here.

  Now that everything is fine I have to thank you all and I am sorry for my little impatiance.
