display of visuals shared with Facebook

    dear WordPress –

    I`ve had this blog for a couple of years now, and have used your SHARING feature to distribute my posts to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+, etc. Up until this past month, everything was great.

    But as of January, sharing with Facebook (only) has fallen apart. Although the post is shared, the main visual within the post is not appearing on Facebook. Instead, only the logo of Pinterest is appearing on my Facebook feed.

    All other sharing (Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+) is going fine, and the featured image for each post is going out to those sites. But on Facebook, it isn`t.

    Ive tried turning off the Facebook sharing, and then starting it up again, but that doesnt work. I can`t figure out how to fix this. Please help.

    Hi there!

    Sorry you’re having trouble with Publicizing to Facebook. Can you give me a link to a specific post that shared without an image on Facebook?

    See the recent posts on the right hand side and pick any among the last 20 or so. They`re all failing to transfer their featured image to my Facebook page.

    Hi Alan,

    Shawna is out for a couple of days and so I am taking a look at her tickets.

    I have been going through the recent posts you mentioned on sextile.com/blog and the ones I’ve looked at thus far do not have a Featured Image set.

    Nonetheless, I went and checked a couple of them and when I tried sharing them on Facebook, they worked normally, displaying the main image from the post. For example, this post:

    The world’s most interesting astrologer: chart rectification

    Displayed the typical “Most Interesting Man in the World” image with “The world’s most interesting astrologer: chart rectification” as a title.

    Keep in mind that any image you post needs to be at least 200px wide. If you find that a post is not showing an image on Facebook, you can use the Facebook debugger to see why: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
