Display on different devices
-
Hi there,
I’ve recently published my new website, http://www.karenthorburnweddings.com
I’m happy with how it looks on a computer but not a mobile phone. The phone shrinks the logo too small, increases the tagline too large, and inserts a large gap below the video on the homepage. Can you please advise me how to fix these issues?
Many thanks,

Hello!
The issue regarding the ‘site description’ remaining too large while reducing the screen size seems repaired somewhat by removing the ‘font-size: 4rem;’ bit of css like so.
.site-description { margin-top: 0; /* font-size: 4rem; */ }As for the logo, I would add a ‘max-height: 200px’ like this;
.site-logo img { display: inline-block; height: auto; max-width: 100%; margin: 0 auto; max-height: 200px; }That seems quite a bit better, but you would need to tweak those settings to get it just right.
To make these changes, you’ll need either a Premium or Business plan.
Hope that helps!

Thanks! It looks better with these changes.
Have you any suggestions on how to remove the gap between the video and the text on the home page (as seen on a mobile)? I’ve tried deleting the video and inserting it again, but am having the same issue.
Many thanks,

Hi Karen,
I knew you would ask me that!
I had a quick look, and there’s something sketchy going on with the iframe and some kind of in-line issue. The typical fixes don’t seem to be working, but either way, I would dump that iframe altogether, and replace it with something like WordPress.com’s Video Press (info here).
Good luck with it!

Karen, I don’t see any issues with Vimeo or Youtube on Dicot, so I agree with @joerepublic that there is something going on with the video code coming from the video hosting service.
