Display only latest post from specific category

  Hi all,

  I am building a site for a client in wordpress. I need to display a post from a specific category on the top page, and I have that working, but it is currently displaying ALL posts from that category. I just want it to display the latest post from that category…is this possible?

  Ahh, sorry, I figured it out, was really simple I just needed to use the showposts=1 parameter.

  Since your blog is self-hosted you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ since that is where the self-hosted wordpress blogs are supported. This forum is for those hosted at the wordpress.COM free hosting service and stuff here works differently.
