display post shortcode doesnʻt display images
-
I am trying to use display-post shortcode. First of all, I am not too sure if I am doing this right. I created a post which only has [display-posts include_excerpt="true" image_size="thumbnail" wrapper="div"]. Is this correct? This is somewhat working that all excerpts from my posts are displayed. However, an image included in each post is not displayed with them. I made sure that the image included in each post was thumnail size.
Also, I would like to have a line or at least a space between posts. How can I make the adjustment? Thank you for your help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
So a post or page that includes your current shortcode would create this list of posts:
It’s not currently showing an image in that list because the shortcode will only pull the Featured Image for each post. While your posts have images in each of their bodies, none of those posts have a featured image set.
Once you set a featured image for each post, this shortcode will display the featured image in a thumbnail size.
Also, I would like to have a line or at least a space between posts.
However, with Custom Design (part of our Premium Plan), we could add some Custom CSS to add some space beneath each item of your display-posts shortcode.
Let me know if you’d be willing to try that out, and I can help you create the CSS needed.

Thank you for your reply. I am very new at this, so this is probably a pretty basic question, but where exactly does this shortcode go? Do I create an independent post with only this one line? But if I do that, then when I add a new post, the post with the shortcode becomes earlier posting, so the new post is not included in the list of excerpts. If I add the shortcode to each post, then excerpts get “nested” and each previous posts get repeated over and over. I hope this is making sense to you, but anyway, what I am saying is that I tried it in two different places, and obviously they are both wrong. I donʻt know where else to try! Thank you for your help!

Normally you use the display-posts shortcode on a Page, where links to posts can also be helpful.
For example, I have a page on my blog about the books I’m reading this year. I use a display-posts shortcode with a tag attribute to display a list of all my posts that I’ve tagged as ‘reading-2015.’
Some folks that blog a lot like to have a page with a link to ‘every post, ever’ and using the display posts or archives shortcodes is an easy way to do that.
It really just depends on what you want this list of posts to be used for.
