Display Post Title Above Featured Image
-
Hi, I’m looking for some CSS to have the post title display above (rather than below) the featured image of each post on my home page. Ideally, I’d like the posts to display as follows:
[Post Title]
Posted on [Date]
[Text Excerpt from Post]Is this possible?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On responsive width themes such as Apostrophe, this can be done, but it comes with problems. We have to use position: absolute; to move them which means that they lose their relationship to the other page elements and basically float free above the other content. In the case of the post title, the length isn’t a constant, so making right amount of room for them above the image becomes impossible. Add to that that on responsive designed themes, on narrower screens and windows, longer titles will go to two or three, or more lines.
I’m assuming that the reason you have gone with the Display Posts Shortcode is that you want a more traditional layout than what Apostrophe has on the built-in blog page layout, is that correct?

Thanks thesacredpath. Between this and the other questions I had in the separate thread, it seems like maybe this theme isn’t the right fit. Would you be able to recommend one that would be closer to the functionality I’m looking for, where CSS could then be used to get the rest of the way there?

See the other thread you started where I gave a link to a filtered list of themes that have a post slider: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/add-image-gallery-as-header-image-reformat-post-displays?replies=4

Thanks thesacredpath. I ended up changing themes, so will see if that gets closer to what I’m looking for. Thanks again!
