[display-posts] does nor work!!

  I do exactly as told at https://wordpress.com/support/display-posts-shortcode/#adding-the-shortcode
  But I don’t get any post listing, just the ff shortcode… What are they not telling me?

  Hello,

  Can you please share your site’s address?

  I tried this on my test site, and I could add the shortcode to the post.

  Go the post or a page where you want to add the shortcode, click on edit, click on add block and you can see the search tab in that you have to search shortcode block and add the shortcode block to your post or a page, you will see the code placeholder in the editor, add the shortcode [display-posts] and publish it.
