Display Posts Shortcode refresh problem
-
I am exploring using Display Posts Shortcode to give me more control over post order. It is great and seems to work very well except for one thing.
There is a sizable delay in changes made showing up on the page. It seems to be a bigger problem if a post is deleted or edited.
The problem occurs when I change device and when I use a different browser so it would seem to be something that happens within WordPress.
Example 1: today I created a new test post (Heading Test, text New Post).
It showed immediately on my post front page – coming in third under the two pinned posts. HERE. Then I deleted the test post. It disappeared on that page.
However, on the equivalent page created using Display Posts Shortcode HERE, there was a short delay before it appeared. Following deletion, one hour later, lots of cache refreshes and across multiple browsers and devices (which were not used for the first time on that page until AFTER the deletion), it remains stubbornly present.
Example 2: Yesterday I edited a post. On the posts front page it changed immediately. On the Shortcode page it did not change until the next morning.
The shortcode being used on the page I have provided a link to is
[display-posts wrapper="div" posts_per_page="50" include_content="true" ]Any comments?

1 1/2 hours after I deleted my test post the change is finally showing in the shortcode pages. I guess I can live with that but it is surprising behavior. No other posts or pages have this delay effect.
