  Why are my DISPLAY-POSTS shortcodes suddenly NOT displaying featured images?

  ~ SHORTCODE USED = [display-posts category="civil-war-diary-of-freeman-colby" image_size="medium" orderby="title" order="asc" include_excerpt="true" posts_per_page="-1"]

  Hi there,

  Could you give me some examples of other URLs where the display-posts shortcode is not working for you?

  I ask because the example you gave previously is currently working for me. Here’s a screenshot of what I saw when I visited your site:

  Hi — Thanks for looking into this. The problem is not in the display of the LIST per se, but rather that the list displays WITHOUT the featured images for the posts. I don’t understand why the images suddenly disappeared, nor why they now (a week later) have suddenly started displaying again.
  See here, for example: http://livefreeanddraw.com/start/freemancolby = currently (as of today) displaying featured images as well as excerpts.
  (I don’t know of any changes in the options/admin controls for my site!)
  In the short term, I’m glad the images now display properly again.
  In the long term, I’m now nervous that at any moment they might STOP displaying and the whole site would lose its visual impact… It’s a site of comics, so the images are vital!
  Thanks for any advice you can supply…

  Heya,

  It looks like there was an update which temporarily removed the part of the code which displayed images in that particular shortcode. As you can see the problem was found and fixed in a subsequent update.

  I’m sorry for the inconvenience that the thumbnails were not displayed for a while on your site and also for the miscommunication which occurred when we first spoke! These kinds of coding mistakes are happily rare and should not happen again!
