Display projects on homepage port theme (and testimonials and featured content)

  Under Appearance – Customize – Homepage in the Port theme I have set it to display 3 projects on the homepage. I have created 3 projects under Portfolie-Projects – create new. They don’t show up on my homepage ? What additional do I need to do to display projects on homepage? (I assume these projects are the same you create under Portfolio?)

  Was planning to include 3 projects in the first release of the website (preferably today) when we share to website URL on our Facebook page, then add testimonials and featured content the next few weeks as we get this content ready/approved by our customers. The whole reason for choosing the port theme was that we wanted to be able to show projects/testamonials easily, we don’t plan on using the site as a blog with regular blog posts and would like to avoid that. The way the port sample comes across under Themes in WordPress is what we are going for.

  Also: I also can’t get featured content under Customize to show on homepage – how do I get that to show. Appears regular (blog) posts have an option called ‘stick to frontpage’ – assume that puts them on homepage, have not tested that yet…

  What additional do I need to do to display projects on homepage? (I assume these projects are the same you create under Portfolio?)

  Currently, your home page is set to display your most recent blog posts. To have it display projects and appear more like the demo, you’ll want to follow the steps here:

  Can you give the steps under “Setting up the Homepage” a try?

  Thank you! I will try to create a homepage as explained in the link you provided. Did not realize I had to make a page for that myself, thought that was built into the theme.
  I created the blog posts as a workaround for now, just to have some customers in place of projects/testamonials on the homepage while figuring this out.
