Display source code on my local copy of wordpress

  I have used the following syntax to display source code:
  [code language="css"]
  your code here
  [/code]
  It works fine on my blog pages on wordpress.com. However, the same code does not work on my local copy of wordpress on Debian and Ubuntu. The syntax ... works but the display is not the same and not as nice.
  Can someone tell me why and help to fix that? Thanks.

  I’m afraid this forum is exclusively for supporting wordpress.COM sites–so if the code isn’t working on a local copy or self install, the people over at the WordPress.ORG support forum are better equipped to help. Here’s the link:

  Note: it’s a completely separate site so if you’ve never posted there before you’ll need to create a new username and password–the ones you use here won’t work.
