Display Tagline with my website Title – no check box
-
Hi, In my ‘customize – site identity section of wordpress, there is no check box below the tagline field so I can click it. Any ideas of what might be going on?
-
Hi Celia,
I’m glad to help with this. Could you provide the URL of the site you are working on?
Many thanks – Richard

Hello Richard, Thank you! Where would I go to locate the URL (this is the numeric/alpha name of my website, rather than its domain name, yes?).

Hi Celia,
Richard had to step away for a bit, but I can help in the meantime. The URL is your website address that you’ll find in the search bar of your browser. It will look something like this:
https://mygroovyblog.wordpress.com
Does that make sense? If not, let me know and I can try to explain it differently.
Thanks!

Thanks for providing that, Celia!
I just did a quick search to see where your site is hosted, and it looks like it’s a self-hosted WordPress.org site (hosted by hostgator.com). Does that sound right to you?
This forum just handles WordPress.com, so we don’t have access to WordPress. org accounts. But there’s a support forum specifically for self-hosted WordPress.org sites. You can find it here:
https://wordpress.org/support/
I’m sorry I couldn’t help you here! The difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org can be tricky. For more info about that, there’s a document that explains the differences:
Best of luck with your site!
