Displayed ad on my blog is a scam
-
Hello –
I am fine that WordPress is making some money by displaying ads on my blog.
the only thing you should avoid is when those ads are actually SCAMs, because it’s destroying everyone’s reputation, including mine.
I prefer not to send the link (which is a scam) but it was a message like ‘Congratulations – you’ve won a Mini’….
Thanks for screening the advertisers on your site.

I’m sorry to hear that. Would it be possible for you to take a screenshot of the ad that you saw? Could you also let us know where exactly you saw it?
Instructions on how to create a screenshot are available here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/I’d be happy to pass this information onto our ads team.

You can find the screenshot here (with URL) – the ad was shown at the end of the article:
http://alexvdm.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/screen-shot-2012-01-11-at-6-50-35-pm.pngIn essence, those ads claim that you are the millionth visitor and/or have won something in order to get your data (at best) or your money (at worst).
Many thanks -
Thanks so much for reporting this! I’ve passed your information onto our team so they can take a look at these ads.
